With approximately 7820 km between Willemstad and Rotterdam,
it can be quite a challenge to keep in touch with my family.
Fortunately, modern technology and its ways of communicating
are developing vastly; enabling us to be closer than ever.
Or does it only seem that way?

A visual exploration about being there whilst not being there,
questioing the relationship we allow ourselves to have with images
and if they can ever function as a substitute for a human relationship.
